Dashboard statistics for your organization

Use the Dashboard statistics for your organization to visualize the statistics of all the dashboards available across the organization. They can get information about parameters like active dashboards, total views, and so on. This information gives them an insight into which dashboards are being frequently used, which have not been used in a while, and so on. You can also access a drill-down dashboard to see details for a specific dashboard.

Scenario

Jordan is a Service Desk Manager at Apex Global. He is responsible for monitoring the Dashboards usage.

On his Dashboard Statistics for your Organization dashboard, he observes that specific custom dashboards have not been viewed in the last six months. He informs the team and they remove these dashboards. He also examines the total load time and the total number of views for the dashboards. For the dashboards with higher load times, he informs the dashboard owners to optimize the performance.

To view the dashboard

  1. From the navigationmenu_icon.pngmenu, click Dashboards.
  2. Search for the Helix Dashboards Administrator folder and select it.
  3. Click Dashboard statistics for your organization.
    The following dashboard is displayed:

The statistics are captured every 5-6 minutes. You must refresh the dashboard to see the latest information.


Panels in the dashboard

Panel

Description

Total dashboards

Displays the total number of dashboards in your organization.

Active dashboards

Displays the number of dashboards that were accessed at least once in the last 30 days.

Total dashboard views

Displays the total number of views for all the dashboards across your organization.

Average dashboard load time

Displays the average time to load all the active dashboards across your organization.

Dashboard statistics

Panel

Description

Dashboard name

Lists all the dashboards across your organization. You can scroll through the list to access any dashboard or search by entering the name of the dashboard in the dashboard filter.

Click a dashboard name to access the dashboard details.

Total views

Displays the number of views for each dashboard.

Average load time

Displays the average load for this dashboard (in seconds). 

This field displays NA if:

  • The dashboard has not been accessed in the last 30 days.
  • The dashboard panels display an error.
  • The panels in the UI view fail to load immediately on accessing the dashboard.
    If the panels appear gradually on scrolling, the load time is considered. 

Last accessed at

Display the date and time when the dashboard was last accessed.


Individual dashboard statistics

When you click a dashboard name on the Dashboard for your organization, the following details are displayed:

  • Link to the dashboard
  • Load time and views
  • Total views for this dashboard
  • Trend of dashboard views
  • Average load time for this dashboard - It is the value derived from the average time it takes to load the dashboard when it is accessed multiple times over a 24-hour period.
  • Trend of dashboard load time

Use this information to track the dashboard performance and usage.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
