OpenStack dashboards

Use the OpenStack Dashboards to get immediate visibility into your monitored OpenStack environment. The organized panels expose key capacity metrics and charts of OpenStack components. You can use this information for capacity analysis.

This OpenStack dashboard was constructed to work in tandem with the OpenStack - OpenStack API Extractor Service. To see which system types are used for this dashboard please review the entity types listed for this Out-of-the-box ETL found here.

Before you begin

  1. Install the OpenStack Dashboards for BMC Helix package in the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization console.
  2. Configure and run the OpenStack Extractor ETL to import data into the dashboard.

To view the dashboard

  1. Open BMC Helix Dashboards from BMC Helix Portal.
  2. From the navigation menuhttps://docs.bmc.com/docs/bhd/243/files/1362858505/1362858506/1/1687411857602/menu_icon.png, click Dashboards.
  3. Search for the Helix Continuous Optimization folder and select it.
  4. Click OpenStack or one of the other OpenStack Dashboards.


Available Dashboards

  • OpenStack - Overall view of the entire OpenStack environment from a top down perspective, starting with the Cloud entity
  • Availability Zone Details - Detailed view for a specifically selected Availability Zone entity
  • Host Aggregate Details - Detailed view for a specifically selected Host Aggregate entity
  • Hypervisor Details - Detailed view for a specifically selected Hypervisor entity
  • Region Details - Detailed view for a specifically selected Region entity

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
