CMDB Stale CI dashboard

As a BMC Helix CMDB dashboard user, use the CMDB Stale CI dashboard to get a detailed view of Configuration Items (CIs) that require attention due to outdated or missing scan data. Use this granular data to quickly identify the assets that need immediate attention and accurately track them in CMDB.

Use this dashboard for critical insights, such as when certain CIs were scanned and the key details about those CIs. By focusing on CIs that are overdue for a scan, this dashboard helps mitigate risks associated with outdated or unmonitored assets.

For information about dashboard concepts, see  Creating and customizing dashboards.

Chris is a Configuration Manager at Apex Global. He and his team perform annual maintenance on all the company's IT assets, and they need to review an inventory of hundreds of IT assets.

Chris looks at the CMDB Stale CI dashboard and quickly realizes that many assets are in use but have not been scanned and are not being tracked. He uses this insight and schedules the maintenance activity to prioritize fixing these unscanned IT assets before looking at the other assets.
