Nutanix Virtual Machines dasboard
The Nutanix Virtual Machines dashboard provides an overview of all the Nutanix Acropolis Virtual Machines (VMs) within the client's BMC Helix Continuous Optimization (HCO) environment. Nutanix Acropolis Virtual Machines are identified by the HCO entity type "Virtual Machine - Acropolis". Within the dashboard the following capacity insights will be presented:
- Snapshot of the Current Capacity
- Future Saturation
Filters
Filters can be found in the upper left portion of the dashboard. The following filters are:
- Cluster → Filters all panels to only focus on the specified cluster(s) selected
- Host → Filters all panels to only focus on the specified host(s) selected
- Status → Filters all panels to only focus on Virtual Machines that have a last status of one or both following values: On, Off.
- Time Period → Contains three values: Last 30 Days, Last 7 Days, and Yesterday. This filter changes the aggregation period for the metrics CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, and Storage Utilization. Ergo, only tables that that have the column CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, and Storage Space Utilization are affected by this filter.
- Resource Statistic → Contains three values: Average, Max, and 95th Percentile. This Filter changes the aggregation statistic for the metrics CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, and Storage Utilization. Ergo, only tables that that have the column CPU Utilization, Memory Utilization, and Storage Space Utilization are affected by this filter.

Panels
The Nutanix Virtual Machines Dashboard consists of multiple panels that give insight into the capacity and health of Nutanix Acropolis Virtual Machines.
Total VM Count
Displays the total Acropolis Virtual Machine count found within the client's HCO environment. The total count is affected by the "Cluster", “Host”, “Status” filter.
Not Saturated
Displays the count for all Acropolis Virtual Machines that are predicted to not have future saturation in one or more of the following metrics: CPU Utilization or Memory Utilization. The count is affected by the "Cluster", “Host”, and “Status” filter.
Future Saturated
Displays the count for all Acropolis Virtual Machines that will have a future saturation in one or more of the following metrics: CPU Utilization or Memory Utilization. The count is affected by the "Cluster", “Host”, and “Status” filter.
Future Saturated
Displays the count for all Acropolis Virtual Machines that are currently saturated in one or more of the following metrics: CPU Utilization or Memory Utilization. The total is affected by the "Cluster", “Host”, and “Status” filter.

A virtual machine overview table with the following details:

Days to Saturation | Shows whether a virtual machine has Saturation, Future Saturation, or no Solution for one or more of the following metrics: CPU Utilization or Memory Utilization. Only virtual machines that are expected to saturate within the next 100 days are considered to have future saturation. Days to Saturation is computed by calculating the slope using the last 30 days of hourly data. | CPU_UTIL, MEM_UTIL |
