CMDB Product Lifecycle Analysis dashboard


As a BMC Helix CMDB dashboard user, use the CMDB Product Lifecycle Analysis dashboard to view the following end-of-support information for your IT assets:

  • End-of-Support (EOS) Date
  • End-of-Extended-Support (EOES) Date
  • End-of-Security-Support (EOSS) Date
  • Retirement (EOL) Date

This information will help you keep your IT infrastructure up to date and adhere to the compliance standards.

This dashboard is populated by data from the BMC.ADDM dataset.

Example: View the end of product support information

Chris is a Configuration Manager at Apex Global. He wants to know the details of the Operating System CIs that are in use and are nearing the End-of-Support (EOS) Date. Based on this information, he'll decide whether to purchase new licenses or pay for extending the support.

He looks at the CMDB Product Lifecycle Analysis dashboard to quickly get this information.

To view the CMDB Product Lifecycle Analysis dashboard

  1. From the navigation menu, click navigation_menu.pngDashboards.
  2. Select Configuration Management CMDB Product Lifecycle Analysis.

    Tip: Quick access from the home page

    To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.

To create custom panels in the dashboard

To change the out-of-the-box reports, create a copy of the dashboard and modify the panels. As an administrator or an editor, you create custom panels in the dashboard by using the Service Management query type.
