Linux Server Metrics



As a tenant administrator, editor, or viewer, you can use the Linux Server Metrics dashboard to view the number of open events and various metrics of multiple Linux servers and devices from BMC Helix Operations Management.  This information helps you to view the performance of Linux devices and their metrics. This dashboard adds a new panel for each metric added from the filters.

The dashboard uses the BMC Helix data source and the Metric and Events query types.


Example: View the open events, disk, and memory usage of a Linux server

John, the tenant administrator, wants to view the number of open events, disk, and memory usage of a Linux server for a given period. He accesses the Linux Server Metrics dashboard and selects the appropriate Linux server and metrics from filters to get the data for the previous day. 

The following image shows the number of open events, disk, and memory usage of a Linux server with sample data:

To view the Linux Server Metrics dashboard

  1. From the navigation menu menu_icon.png, click Dashboards.
  2. Click the Operations Management folder and then click Linux Server Metrics.

Tip

To quickly open the dashboard from the home page, mark it as a favorite by using the star icon. Additionally, after you open a dashboard, it is available under Recently viewed dashboards on the home page.
