This procedure describes how to install Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite patch PAOAC.9.0.21.001 on UNIX.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that no Control-M jobs are executing on the Agent.
  • (AIX only) Run the following command as a root user to remove unused libraries from the memory:
    /usr/sbin/slibclean

Begin

  1. Download the patch from the following S3 link:
    https://control-m-pre-ga.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/PAOAC.9.0.21.001_GA/PAOAC.9.0.21.001_unix.tar.Z
  2. Log in to the account where Control-M/Agent is installed and copy the PAOAC.9.0.21.001_unix.tar.Z file to a temporary directory on your local hard drive (not a network drive).
  3. Run the following command to shut down the Agent:
    shut-ag
  4. Run following command to ensure that the installation file has the necessary authorizations:
    chmod +x PAOAC.9.0.21.001_unix.tar.Z
  5. Navigate to the temporary folder where you downloaded the patch.
  6. Run the following command to extract the patch tar.Z file:
    zcat PAOAC.9.0.21.001_unix.tar.Z | tar -xvf -
  7. Run the following command:
    sh setup.sh
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
  9. Run the following command to start the Agent:
    start-ag
    After the installation completes, the new Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite version (9.0.21.001) might take several hours to appear in the Configuration domain.

Installing Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Patch PAOAC.9.0.21.001 on Windows

This procedure describes how to install Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite patch PAOAC.9.0.21.001 on Windows.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite 9.0.21 is installed before you install this patch.
  • Verify that no Control-M jobs are executing on the Agent.

Begin

  1. Download the patch from the following S3 link:
    https://control-m-pre-ga.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/PAOAC.9.0.21.001_GA/PAOAC.9.0.21.001_windows_x86_64.zip
  2. Log in to the account where Control-M/Agent is installed, copy the installation package to a temporary directory on your local hard drive (not a network drive), and then extract the package.
  3. Open Windows Services, right-click the Control-M/Agent service, and from the drop-down list select Stop.
  4. Extract the PAOAC.9.0.21.001_windows_x86_64.zip file.
  5. Navigate to the temporary directory and run the following command:
    PAOAC.9.0.21.001_windows_x86_64.exe

    InformationIf User Account Control (UAC) is enabled, you must run the executable As Administrator.
     
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
  7. Open Windows Services, right-click the Control-M/Agent service, and from the drop-down list select Start.
    After the installation completes, the new Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite version (9.0.21.001) might take several hours to appear in the Configuration domain.

Uninstalling Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite Patch PAOAC.9.0.21.001 from UNIX

  3. From the Control Panel, select Program and Features.
  4. Select BMC Control-M for Oracle E-Business Suite 9.0.21.000 Patch 1 and click Uninstall.
  5. Open Windows Services, right-click the Control-M/Agent service, and from the drop-down list select Start.
