Setting up a notice and consent banner

Some organizations are required to display a notice and consent banner when their users log on to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse. These notices might contain the standard content that users need to read and agree before accessing TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse. 

This topic provides the instructions to set up a notice and consent banner, which is displayed every time a user logs on to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse, before cross launching to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. 

To set up and edit a notice and consent banner

1. Log on the host where the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse is installed. 
2. Navigate to the following directory:
   • (Windows) <tssadw_installation_directory>\shared\ConfigurationManagement
   • (Linux) <tssadw_installation_directory>/shared/ConfigurationManagement
3. Open the generic_configuration.properties file with a text editor.
4. Set the IS_NOTICE_CONSENT_BANNER_ENABLED property to true.
5. A default notice and consent banner is displayed every time the DWAdmin user or a reporting user logs on to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse. To modify the default text displayed on the banner, edit the notice text file, notice_and_consent_banner_content.txt located in the following directory:
   • (Windows) <tssadw_installation_directory>\shared\ConfigurationManagement\notice_and_consent_banner_content.txt
   • (Linux) <tssadw_installation_directory>/shared/ConfigurationManagement/notice_and_consent_banner_content.txt
