Technical bulletin: Hotfix for Vendor Patch Content reports


A hotfix is available for TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse 22.2 to address the following issue:

You cannot generate the Vendor Patch Content reports in TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation even though the nsh load-patch-content.nsh script to install the Vendor Patch Content executes successfully.

Before you begin

Download and apply the TrueSight Server Automation hotfix. For more information, see Technical bulletin: Hotfix for Vendor Patch Content.

Downloading and applying the hotfix

Do the following:

  1. Log on to the host where TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse is installed.
  2. Back up the following file outside the installation directory: <TSSA-DWInstallationDirectory>\shared\ConfigurationManagement\libs\bbds-etl.jar.
  3. Download the Vendor Patch Content hotfix files (TrueSight-ServerAutomation-Datawarehouse-Vendor-Patch-Content-22.2-HF.zip) from the Patches tab on  EPD.

  4. Extract the downloaded files to a temporary directory, temp.
  5. Copy the temp\bbds-etl.jar file and replace it in the <TSSA-DWInstallationDirectory>\shared\ConfigurationManagement\libs directory.
  6. (Linux only) Ensure that the copied .jar file has the same ownership and the set of permissions as defined for the replaced file.
  7. Copy the temp\vpc.properties and temp\vpc_run.sh files to the <TSSA-DWInstallationDirectory>\shared\bdi\bin directory. 
  8. (Oracle) Copy the temp\oracle\3_VPC folder to <TSSA-DWInstallationDirectory>\bsa\etl\queries\oracle directory.
  9. (SQL Server) Copy the temp\sqlserver\3_VPC folder to the <TSSA-DWInstallationDirectory>\bsa\etl\queries\sqlserver directory.
