Setting up the databases for TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse
Before installing TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse, you must set up the required databases, as described in the following topics:

NEW IN 20.02.01To use TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse with Oracle Exadata, do the following:
- Log in to the system where the Oracle Database is installed.
- Configure the following system-level parameters:
- Set the value for the PARALLEL_DEGREE_POLICY parameter to AUTO or ADAPTIVE by running the following command:
ALTER SYSTEM SET PARALLEL_DEGREE_POLICY = ADAPTIVE - Set the value for the GLOBAL_NAMES parameter to FALSE by running the following command:
ALTER SYSTEM SET GLOBAL_NAMES = FALSE
- Set the value for the PARALLEL_DEGREE_POLICY parameter to AUTO or ADAPTIVE by running the following command:
For a multi-site deployment of TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse, where a secondary TrueSight Server Automation site uses a different character set, the following setup is supported:
- Application Server 1 database uses CHAR.
- Application Server 2 database uses NCHAR.
- TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse server 1 database uses NCHAR.
TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse server 1 cannot use CHAR because you cannot run ETL from an NCHAR database to a CHAR database.
