Configuring TrueSight Smart Reporting settings



This page lists the additional tasks that are required in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform to use the reporting functionalities. 

Ensure that you have added TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse as a component in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. For more information, see Post-installation-tasks.

To add the administrator in the client organization

As a TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform Administrator, you must add the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse Administrator user in your client organization in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. This enables you to access details about TrueSight Smart Reporting for Server Automation (for example, reports and schedules) from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. Perform the following steps:

  1. Use the following URL to open the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform login page:
    https://<TrueSight Smart Reporting hostname>:port/tsr 
  2. In the Log in as list, select TrueSight Smart Reporting - Admin.
  3. In the User Name and Password fields, enter the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator credentials.
    Default user name: admin
    Default password: admin12345
  4. Click LOG IN.
  5. In the upper right corner, click your profile and then click Admin Console.
  6. Click the menu icon menu_icon.pngin the upper left corner, and then click Administration.
  7. Click Client Organizations and then click your component client organization.
  8. In the Users area, click Add
  9. Search for the System Administrator user, and then select it.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Verify that the System Administrator user is added.
    Do the following:
    1. Log out of the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform instance.
    2. Log in to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform again as the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator user.
    3. In the upper right corner, click your profile and then click Admin Console.
    4. In the Multi-tenant Login field, verify that you can see your client organization.
    5. Select your client organization and click Login to complete the verification.
  12. Change the default administrator password. Run the following command:
    modifysmartreportinguserpassword -d <hostname> -p <port> -u <username> -w <current password> -np <new password> -s

To refresh the filter list

As a TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator, you must refresh the cached filter list every time when new users are added to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse through ETL. This ensures that the latest values are reflected in the reports.

Ensure that you have added TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse administrator user in your client organization in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform before refreshing the filter list. 

Do the following:

  1. Use the following URL to open the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform login page:
    https://<hostname>:port/tsr 
  2. In the Log in as list, select TrueSight Smart Reporting - Admin.
  3. In the User Name and Password fields, enter the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator credentials:
    Default user name: admin
    Default password: admin12345
  4. Click LOG IN.
  5. In the right navigation pane, click admin>Admin Console.
  6. Select the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse Administrator in the Multi-tenant Login list and click Login.
  7. In the left navigation pane, go to Administration > Admin console > Data Sources.
  8. In the Data Sources panel, click the TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse datasource.
  9. Click Access Filters.
  10. Perform the following steps for all the access filters.
    1. Click an access filter from the list of available access filters.
    2. In the Settings panel, toggle New User Auto Refresh. The access filters are updated when new users are added to TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse through ETL. 
    3. Click Submit
    4. Click Done

To add the default dashboard tabs to the Home page

As a TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse user, add the default dashboard tabs to the Home page for a specific role and siteYou can add the following dashboard tabs:

  • Health Dashboard
  • Job Activity Dashboard
