Using the Infrastructure Overview dashboard

The Infrastructure Overview dashboard provides information about the TrueSight Server Automation database configuration and deployment infrastructure, helping you access database and server health and troubleshoot issues. You can sort the data according to your requirements. Also, you can export individual sections from the dashboard in CSV or PDF format to meet your reporting and compliance needs. The dashboard is organized into the following tabs:

  • Database Configuration
  • Deployments

Supported browsers

Access the Infrastructure Overview dashboard by using the latest version of one of the following browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox 
  • Microsoft Edge

Before you begin

Make sure that you have been assigned the BLAdmins role.

To view the dashboard

  1. Enter the following URL in the browser:

    https://<AppServerHost>:<Port>/dashboards/#/infrastructureOverview

    Example:

    https://aus-bsa-004:9843/dashboards/#/infrastructureOverview

    VariableDescription
    <AppServerHost>Fully qualified name or IP address of the Application Server on which the Tomcat service has been enabled. 
    <Port>The port on the Application Server on which the Tomcat service is running. The default port is 9843.
  2. Enter the user name and password.

Database Configuration tab

The Database Configuration tab provides database configuration details to help assess database health and identify configuration issues.

Database Server 

Displays the current and recommended values of the following settings about the TrueSight Server Automation database:

  • Percentage of free space
  • The table with the maximum number of rows, which helps detect growth issues
  • Total size of the database

Additionally, it provides troubleshooting tips to address growth issues.

Configuration Details 

Displays the metadata and configuration information about the TrueSight Server Automation database, including:

  • TrueSight Server Automation version (major and patch) 
  • Database schema name and SID 
  • Database name and version

Config System

Displays the maintainance and optimization settings about the TrueSight Server Automation database, including:

  • Automatic memory management
  • Resource management
  • Auto optimizer stats collection
  • Auto space advisor

Note: The report is available only for TrueSight Server Automation applications hosted on Oracle Database servers and is not available for applications hosted on Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Database Size 

Displays the following information about each database file:

  • Database name
  • Type
  • Total size (in MB)

Deployments tab

The Deployments tab provides application server infrastructure and utilization details to help monitor server health and workload distribution.

Infrastructure Details

Displays detailed infrastructure information for different deployment types such as job server, proxy server, maintenance server, and configuration server, including: 

  • Server details such as operating system, version, and JVM information
  • Work item thread configuration and related parameters
  • Multiple infrastructure parameters and their values

Provides options to search, paginate, and export the data in CSV or PDF format.

Server Wise Utilization

Displays a list of job servers with the following utilization details:

  • Allocated and available work item threads
  • Maximum work item thread capacity
  • Number of jobs running on each server

Helps monitor job execution capacity and workload distribution across servers.
