Issues in HIPAA compliance analysis and remediation

The following issues and limitations exist for compliance analysis and remediation using HIPAA component templates:

  • Remediation for the HIPAA Windows server 2003 DC/MS template fails with the following error while updating the Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Policy:

    Error 1332: No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.
  • Compliance Jobs with HIPAA templates on UNIX (AIX, HPUX, and Solaris) and Linux (SuSE and RHEL) platforms that have non-English locales fail.
    Workaround: For the Compliance Job to run successfully, install an en_US.UTF-8  package on the target and set the LC_ALL parameter to en_US.UTF-8.
