Adding predefined permissions to a role while defining an ACL policy

You can use an access control list (ACL) template to add a predefined set of permissions to one or more role.

To add predefined permissions to a role

  1. Click Use ACL Template g_V95_TemplateIcon.gif. The Select ACL Template dialog box opens.
  2. Select one or more ACL templates on the dialog box.
  3. To set the contents of the selected ACL templates so they replace all entries in the access control list, check Replace ACL with selected templates.
If you do not check this option, the contents of the selected ACL templates are appended to existing entries in the access control list. Replacing the current set of permissions with the contents of an ACL template is particularly useful when promoting a system object between roles.
  4. Click OK.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
