Enhanced createRepo command functionality
In versions earlier than 8.0, to generate the output XML files for multiple Technology Levels (TL) for IBM AIX targets that were downloaded using the offline downloader utility, you needed to run the createRepo command multiple times — once for each TL.
Starting with version 8.2 SP1, the functionality of the createRepo command has been enhanced. The command now includes the fixgetFileSet flag instead of the earlier fixgetFile flag. The fixgetFileSet flag requires a text file containing the paths to the filesets.txt list files of the TLs that were downloaded.
To generate the output XMLs for all the TLs, you now need to run the createRepo command only once.
A sample createRepo command is as follows:
aix_downloader.sh/aix_downloader.bat -createRepo -repoLocation <newRepository> -srcLocation <existingRepository> -fixgetFileSet <File containing the paths of filesets.txt for the required technology levels, for example, <repo>/policy/Levels/<required-level>/filesets.txt>
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
