Using certificates to secure communication between clients and Application Servers

Typically BMC Server Automation uses self-signed certificates to secure communication between clients and Application Servers. However, you might choose to provision Application Servers with a CA-issued certificate or certificate chain. For more information about that procedure, see Securing communication with CA certificates.

In some situations, you might need to manually generate a self signed certificate for an Application Server. For more information about that procedure, see Generating a self-signed certificate for an Application Server.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
