Uninstalling the portal

Use these these instructions to uninstall the portal on Microsoft Windows or Linux.

To uninstall on Windows

1. Navigate to installation_location\UninstallBladeLogicPortal, right-click uninstall.exe, and select Run as Administrator.  
   The default installation_location is C:\Program Files\BMC Software\BladelogicPortal.
2. Click Next.
   The uninstaller shows a list of features that can be uninstalled.
3. Select the features to uninstall and click Next.
   The uninstaller displays a preview window that describes what is about to be uninstalled. 
4. Click Uninstall.
   Progress bars show installation activity until the Uninstallation Summary window provides details about the uninstall.
5. Click Done.
6. Confirm that the uninstall process has deleted the installation_file_location folder. If it has not, manually delete the folder.
7. Restart the system to ensure that shared memory and registry entries are cleaned up.

To uninstall on Linux

1. Navigate to installation_location\UninstallBladeLogicPortal and click uninstall.bin.  
   The default installation_location is /opt/bmc/BladeLogicPortal. 
2. The uninstaller program opens.
3. Click Next.
   The uninstaller shows a list of features that can be uninstalled.
4. Select the features to uninstall and click Next.
   The uninstaller displays a preview window that describes what is about to be uninstalled. 
5. Click Uninstall.
   Progress bars show activity until the Uninstallation Summary window provides details about the uninstall.
6. Click Done.
7. Confirm that the uninstall process has deleted the installation_file_location folder. If it has not, manually delete the folder.
