This documentation supports the 23.3 version of BMC Helix for Security Incident Handling, which is available only to BMC Helix customers (SaaS).
Getting started
The Security Incident Handling line of business offers out-of-the-box content use cases to create, manage, and resolve security cases. The security use cases have built-in case, task, and other templates, including all required artifacts, such as notifications.
Each case template is equipped with a runbook that provides a cybersecurity framework to manage and resolve cases. The framework lays down six stages for resolving cybersecurity issues. Each runbook contains predefined tasks that are assigned to a unique stage in the framework. These tasks help resolve the security issues quickly and effectively.
Case agents can create and manage security cases from BMC Helix Business Workflows. Out-of-the-box integration with BMC Helix iPaaS also helps create security cases from the security events that occur in third-party security tools.
