Applying service packs


Service packs are interim product releases that provide minor enhancements, bug fixes, or both. They can resolve problems that were discovered after the release of the current version and can include service packs that were delivered since the previous service pack.

The service pack installation process requires you to complete your preparatory activities before starting the installation tasks.

Important: Base version must be TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform 20.02

You cannot install TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform 20.02.01 or 20.02.02 as fresh installations. You must upgrade to these versions from the base version of 20.02.

  • For service pack 20.02.01, you can upgrade from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform 20.02.
  • For service pack 20.02.02, you can upgrade from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform version 20.02 or 20.02.01.
  • For service pack 20.02.03, you can upgrade from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform version 20.02 or 20.02.02.

You can apply the service pack in the following scenarios:

  • TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is installed in a non-disaster-recovery environment.
  • TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform is installed in a disaster-recovery environment

In this scenario, follow these steps to successfully apply the service pack:

  1. If you are using TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform version 19.2 or 19.3, upgrade the product to version 20.02.
  2. Apply the latest TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform service pack. For instructions, go to the correct topic from this list:

For TrueSight Server Automation - Data Warehouse and TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse, if you have not configured a custom server certificate in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform, import the server certificate in the component. For more information, see the following documentation:

In this scenario, follow these steps to successfully apply the service pack:

  1. On the primary server, upgrade the product to version 20.02.
  2. Apply the latest TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform service pack. For instructions, go to the correct topic from this list:

  3. On the secondary server, install the version 20.02 of the product with the 20.02.00.002 hotfix.
