Implementing the JSP taglib
You can use the JSP tag library (taglib) to make SOAP calls to the ORCA web service within a web page that renders a JSP page. The taglib enables the results to be displayed on the same page that makes the SOAP call. The JSP taglib is a .war file, called orca-taglib.war, and you deploy the JSP taglib in the webapps directory in a web container, like Tomcat. To use the JSP taglib, you must use BMC Atrium Orchestrator 7.5.02.08 or later.
The .war file contains the following items:
- orca.tld: the taglib descriptor file
- index.jsp: a .jsp file that contains sample values that you can edit
When you create a jsp file, you must use the headers in this file. - Related implementation and dependency files
After you download the orca-taglib.war file, you must perform the following steps:
- Copy the .war file into a web container.
- Using index.jsp as a template, create a .jsp file.
