Job View on the Health Dashboard

A new Job View is introduced as part of the Health Dashboard, which provides a graphical view of the jobs running in your

environment for a selected period. The data in job view is available for up to the last 365 days.

Data for jobs is stored in the Cassandra database, which is installed out-of-the-box with the CDP or the HA-CDP. For more information, see Apache-Cassandra-database.

In earlier releases, the Health Dashboard only displayed information about the jobs that are running for over an hour. With this release, additional information such as the number of jobs that are complete, the number of jobs that are compensated, the number of jobs in a queue, and the number of running jobs is displayed.

The following figure shows the job view for the last 30 days.

Job List on on the Health Dashboard

As part of the Job Dashboard, you can view a list of workflow jobs running on the Grid for a selected period.

Jobs data is stored in Cassandra database, which is installed out-of-the-box with the CDP or the HA-CDP. For more information, see Apache-Cassandra-database.

Job list displays data for the last 30 days only. You can click the job status to view the output details for a job. For example, for a compensated job, you can view the error message with stack trace. For a successful job, you can view the job output.

You can also export the job list data to a PDF or Microsoft Excel file.

The following figure shows the job list for a selected period.

Adapter Usage on the Health Dashboard

The new Usage tab on the Health Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of the adapters usage on the Grid. Adapter usage is measured by the number of times adapter calls are invoked

If you have multiple adapters of the same type, with different names enabled on the Grid, a collective count is displayed for all instances of the adapter. For example, if you have a command line adapter with different names enabled on the same or multiple peers, the total usage count for all command line adapters that are invoked from all peers is displayed.

The following figure shows the adapter usage count for the last 30 days.
