BMC Server Automation adapter supports BMC Server Automation 8.8

The BMC Server Automation application adapter now supports BMC Server Automation 8.8. All configurations remain unchanged.

BMC Network Automation adapter supports BMC Network Automation 8.8

The BMC Network Automation application adapter now supports BMC Network Automation 8.8. All configurations remain unchanged.

BMC Database Automation adapter supports BMC Database Automation 8.8

The BMC Database Automation application adapter now supports BMC Database Automation 8.8. All configurations remain unchanged.

BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management application adapter renamed to BMC TrueSight Operations Manager adapter

The BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management application adapter is renamed to BMC TrueSight Operations Manager adapter to support the BMC TrueSight Operations Manager application, formerly known as BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management. There is no change to the adapter configuration or workflows. However, to continue using the adapter, you must disable and uninstall the existing BPPM actor and monitor adapters and then reinstall the BMC TrueSight Operations Manager adapter.

BMC TrueSight Operations Manager adapter supports BMC TrueSight Operations Management 10.1

BMC TrueSight Operations Manager application adapter now supports BMC TrueSight Operations Management (previously called BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management) version 10.1.

Ruby script support for the Script adapter

Script adapter can now execute Ruby script version 2.3. You can only use the Call Adapter activity to execute Ruby script by using the script adapter. Script activity does not support Ruby script.

Operations Actions Management modules now support BMC Remedy ITSM 9.1

Change Management, Task Management, and Incident Management OA modules now support BMC Remedy ITSM 9.1. 

New XML Common OA utilities

The following XML utilities are added to the common utilities folder:

  • Convert JSON to XML
  • Convert XML to JSON
  • Convert XML Attributes to Elements
  • Strip Namespaces
  • XML String to XML

New BMC MyIT Service Broker module to support integration with BMC MyIT Service Broker

BMC MyIT Service Broker version 3.2 uses BMC Atrium Orchestrator as a fulfillment engine to process services. The BMC MyIT Service Broker module in BMC Atrium Orchestrator interacts with the BMC MyIT Service Broker BAO connector to invoke the workflows/services exposed to the BMC MyIT Service Broker via REST API.

New out-of-the-box use cases supported by BMC Service Desk Automation run book

New out-of-the-box use cases for Extend mailbox size and Onboarding a new employee are now added to the BMC Service Desk Automation run book. The extend mailbox size use case extends the size of the user's mailbox as specified in the request submitted in the BMC Service Request Management application. The onboard new employee use case performs a set of actions from creating an email address, adding the employee to a distribution group and setting a mailbox limit for the new user.

BMC SDA Fulfillment Cases module introduced for the out-of-the-box use cases

A new BMC SDA Fulfillment Cases module is introduced as part of the BMC Service Desk Automation run book.

Important

This module is required if you want to run any of the out-of-the-box use cases from the run book. If you are building workflows to support fulfillment of use cases that match your requirement, then you need not install the module.
