Uninstalling the remote device agent


Use these tasks to uninstall the TrueSight Network Automation remote device agent using the interactive TrueSight Network Automation uninstaller. See Uninstalling-silently if you want to uninstall your remote device agent using silent mode.

Warning

Note

The TrueSight Network Automation uninstallation process does not delete the OS user created during installation of the remote device ageint. If you want to remove this OS user, you must do so manually by using the method appropriate to your OS.

To uninstall a remote device agent on Microsoft Windows

  1. In the Windows Control Panel, open the Add and Remove Programs utility.
  2. Remove the TrueSight Network Automation Remote Device Agent application.

To uninstall a remote device agent on Linux

Run the uninstall command from the /opt/bmc/bca-networks-agent/UninstallBMCBcan directory.

If there are any problems with running the uninstaller, see the BMC Support site knowledge base articles for instructions on manually removing the software.
