Installations fail due to IP Helper and Windows HTTP Proxy web services running on target hosts


Administrators have encountered numerous failures with installing the 4.6 version of BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management, including Tomcat and Java failures.

The underlying issue turned out to be conflicts between the install planner and the target hosts if they were running the IP Helper and Windows HTTP Proxy web services.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Stop and disable the IP Helper and Windows HTTP Proxy web services on all product hosts.
  1. Re-run the install planner. 
  2. When the installation is finished, you can enable and restart those services, if needed. 

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
