What's changed in the new My Cloud Services Console


BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management 4.5 or later presents a new and improved console for the end users to request cloud services. 

Using the My Cloud Services console

The following table illustrates the actions that you would perform on the old My Cloud Services Console and now on the new My Cloud Services Console.

Using My Cloud Services Console 4.1 or earlier

Using My Cloud Services Console 4.5 or later

Request a cloud service

My Cloud Services Console > New Service Request >
select the service offering that you want and click Request now.png.

Select your options and click Submit to submit a request.

 

In the Catalog tab of the My Cloud Services console,
click the service offering that you want and add all the details.

Click Add to cart to add this service to your cart and
then click Proceed to checkout and then Submit Request.

You can, simultaneously add more services in the cart
before proceeding to check out.

Start Service

Select a service offering instance, and click Start start_button.jpg.

Select a service, and click actions.pngto select Start Service.

Stop/Shutdown Service

Select a service offering instance, and click Stop stop_button.jpg.

Select a service, and click actions.pngto select Stop Service.

Decommission Service

Select a service offering instance, and click Decommissiondecommission_button.png

Select a service, and click actions.pngto select Decommission Service.

Restart Service

Select a service offering instance, and click Restart Restart SOI.png.

Select a service, and click actions.pngto select Restart Service.

Synchronize

Select a service offering instance, and click Synchronize synchronize_icon.gif.

Select a service, and click actions.pngto select Synchronize Service.

Share Service

Select a service offering instance, and click Share Service Share SOI.png.

Open the Team page of a service, search for a user to add to the service and click
Update Team to add the user to the service.

The user gets added as a Team Member.

Transfer Ownership

Select a service offering instance, and click Transfer Ownership TransferSOI button.png.

Open the Team page of a service and next to the name of the team member
who will be the new owner, click 
Team Member Option.pngand select Make Owner.

After you click Update Team, the user is now the new owner of the service.

View Quota

Click View My Quota View my Quota.png.

On the new UI, click My Quota Availability View quota_new.png.

Start Server

Select the server and click Start start_button.jpg.

Select a server, and click actions.pngto select Start Server.

Stop Server

Select the server and click Stop stop_button.jpg.

Select a server, and click actions.pngto select Stop Server.

Connect To Server

Select the server and click Remote Connect remote connect.png.

Select a server, and click  actions.png to select Connect To Server.

Synchronize

Select the server and click Synchronize synchronize_icon.gif.

Select a server, and click  actions.png to select Synchronize.

Shutdown Server

Select the server and click Shutdown Shutdown server.png.

Select a server, and click  actions.png to select Stop Server.

Restart Server

 

Select a server, and click  actions.png to select Restart Server.
