Getting started with the WAMP Variant on Windows 2008 R2 ZipKit


WAMP Variant Variant Variant refers to a software stack consisting of the Microsoft Windows operating system, the IIS web server, the SQL Server 2008 database, and PHP programming languages. This combination is a common platform for web application development and deployment.

Where to download the ZipKit

  • Download the WAMP Variant ZipKit (CLM 4.0-WAMP Variant on Windows 2008 R2.eZ) from BMC Communities.
  • Download SQL Server 2008  package from the following locations:

SQL Server 2008 is an unbundled package with WAMP Variant ZipKit. You need to download the SQL Server 2008 installer package separately from SQL server 2008 DVD Media. Ensure that you have downloaded all the required files. Downloaded package folder structure would contain setup.exe file to setup the SQL server 2008 R2, this file is required for BMC Server Automation BL Package. See following image to verify the folder structure you have downloaded:

The WAMP Variant ZipKit (WAMP Variant_on_Windows_2008_R2.eZ file) contains the following sub-packages:

Prerequisite for the ZipKit

Ensure that you have created a Windows 64 bit 2008 R2 template in the vCenter.
