JBoss 7.1 ZipKit


JavaBeans Open Source Software Application Server (JBoss AS, or JBoss) is an application server that implements the Java Platform Enterprise Edition. It comprises a set of offerings for enterprise customers who are looking for preconfigured profiles of JBoss Enterprise Middleware components that have been tested and certified together to provide an integrated experience. It's easy-to-use server architecture and high flexibility makes JBoss the ideal choice for users just starting out with J2EE, as well as senior architects looking for a customizable middle-ware platform.

JBoss 7.1 ZipKit deployment models

The JBoss ZipKit supports the following service deployment models:

Deployment model

Description

Single-tier

In the single-tier deployment model, JBoss, JDK and MySQL are installed on a single instance of a server.

Multi-tier

In the multi-tier deployment model, JBoss and JDK are installed on one instance of a server and MySQL is installed on a separate instance of a server.

Standalone model

In the standalone deployment model, only JBoss and JDK are installed on a single instance of a server. MySQL is not installed.
