Step 1: Ensure required products are installed and operational
The products that comprise this solution should be installed in the order represented in the following table.
Product | Version | What to install |
|---|---|---|
BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) Suite | 9.1.03 | Install the following Remedy ITSM platform and application components. Instructions for installing both these components are available in the Installing-the-platform-components and Installing-the-application-components topics in the BMC Remedy ITSM Suite documentation. Links to install specific components are provided against those components in this table. |
Remedy ITSM Platform components | ||
BMC Remedy AR System | 9.1.03 | While running the BMC Remedy AR System installer, choose the following components:
See Installing-BMC-Remedy-AR-System for the installation instructions. |
BMC Atrium Core | 9.1.03 | Install all of the following BMC Atrium core components:
|
BMC Atrium Integrator | 9.1.03 | See Installing-Atrium-Integrator for installation instructions. |
Remedy ITSM Application components | ||
BMC Remedy ITSM Change Management | 9.1.03 | For information about installing BMC Remedy ITSM Change Management and BMC Remedy ITSM Incident Management, see the Installing-BMC-Remedy-ITSM topic in the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite documentation. ITSM artifact installationThe following preconfigured artifacts are required for the solution, which get installed when you install TrueSight Orchestration Content.
See Artifact-and-configuration-reference-for-Continuous-Compliance-for-Network-Automation for more information on BMC Remedy ITSM and TrueSight Orchestration artifacts installed with with the solution. |
BMC Atrium Single Sign-On | 9.1.03 | See Installing for the installation instructions. |
TrueSight Orchestration Platform | 8.1.00.001 | All of the continuous compliance solutions (database, network, and server) require the TrueSight Orchestration Platform components to install content later. Install the following components in the mentioned sequence:
For instructions about installing the TrueSight Orchestration Platform and core components, see Installing in the TrueSight Orchestration Platform documentation. The TrueSight Orchestration platform installation program enables you to install and configure the repository, CDP, Operator Control Panel, and Graphing Server components. This installation program allows you to install components in a pre-existing web server environment or in a new web server. Unless you are upgrading a previously-installed version, BMC recommends that you install the CDP component on a new web server environment to ensure good performance. When installing TrueSight Orchestration for any of the continuous compliance solutions, ensure that you do not have adapters with the same name enabled on multiple peers. For example, do not have an adapter called "File Adapter" on both the CDP and an activity peer (AP) or a lightweight activity peer (LAP). After the TrueSight Orchestration platform and core components have been installed, you must create BMC Remedy ITSM user accounts. |
TrueSight Orchestration Content | 20.18.01 | Install TrueSight Orchestration Content and while installing it, install the Continuous Compliance for Networks solution by using the BSM Solutions path. For instructions, see Installing TrueSight Orchestration content components. |
TrueSight Network Automation | 8.9.04.002 | Install the TrueSight Network Automation application server and remote device agents. For instructions, see Installing in the TrueSight Network Automation documentation.
|
BMC Decision Support – Network Automation | 8.9.02.004 | See Installing in the BMC Decision Support – Network Automation documentation. This product is necessary to obtain data from TrueSight Network Automation, and is required for CI relationships that are created in the task ticket for the target devices. You can use this product to create various reports. |
Installing TrueSight Orchestration content components and the Continuous Compliance for Network Automation solution
You install the solution using the TrueSight Orchestration content installer, which installs the TrueSight Orchestration artifacts (adapters and modules), BMC Remedy AR System artifacts, and BMC Remedy ITSM templates.
To download the content installation program
The TrueSight Orchestration content installation program is available for download from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website at https://webapps.bmc.com/epd. The secure BMC customer support website requires that you enter the username and password you received when you purchased the product.
