Configuring the timeout setting

Timeout is the maximum amount of time that a session in TrueSight Automation Console can be idle before a user is logged out. An administrator can configure the timeout setting.

To configure the timeout setting, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the application.properties file from /<Installation directory>/truesight/application/common/identitymanagement-service/config
  2. Add the idm.keymanager.maxTokenExpiryTime parameter and provide a value in minutes.
    idm.keymanager.maxTokenExpiryTime=60
    In this example, a session is terminated automatically if the logged-in user remains inactive for 60 minutes.

    Important

    If you do not configure the timeout setting, the system terminates a session if the logged-in user remains inactive for 15 minutes.
