Consumption Data reports

You can use the License Usage - Consumption Data page to view the Usage Summary reports of:

  • Third-party events
  • Data streams
  • Cloud streams
  • Sentry streams
  • Serverless streams (available from version 11.3.03)

Usage Summary report

The Usage Summary report provides the consumption usage of all components on your tenants. Use the Usage Summary Report - All to view the consumption usage of all tenants. You can also view the usage summary reports for each tenant separately.

Note

The Usage Summary report is not generated if only a single tenant is present in Remedy Single Sign-On (RSSO).

Each row in the summary reports displays a component. For example, you can see rows for third-party events and data streams in the reports.

The columns in the summary reports display the following information:

ColumnDescription
Daily consumption average in each month

The summary reports display all the months in the duration that you selected before generating the report.

The daily average is calculated by dividing the value of the data generated in a month by the number of days in the month.

Formula

Data generated in a month / Number of days in the month

Example

In the month of June, 3000 third-party events were generated. Therefore, the daily average for June will be 3000/30, which is 100.

The number of days in a month that are considered for the calculation can change in any of the following circumstances:

  • The installation date of TrueSight Infrastructure Management is after the 1st of the month. For example, if the installation date of TrueSight Infrastructure Management is 10 June, the daily average is calculated for 20 days instead of 30 days.
  • The end month of the report is the current month. If you selected the current month as the end month of your report, the number of days for the daily average will be from the 1st of the current month till yesterday.
Highest Monthly

This column displays the highest daily average recorded for the report period that you selected before generating the report. For example, for a period from May to July, the daily average of the third-party events of May is 1400, June is 1495, and July is 1370. The value of the Highest Monthly column displays 1495.

In the tenant-wise summary reports, you can click the value in this column to view the daily average details of the month that has the highest monthly value. Considering the above example, you can click 1495, which will display the daily average details of the third-party events that were generated in June.

Self-Monitoring OffsetThis column displays the value of data that is excluded from the consumption usage calculation.
Usage

This column displays the consumption usage of a component for the period that you selected before generating the event. The usage is calculated by subtracting the Self-Monitoring Offset value from the Highest Monthly value.

Formula

Monthly Highest - Self-Monitoring Offset

Note

If the Self-Monitoring Offset value is higher than the Monthly Highest value, the Usage column displays 0. A negative value is not displayed in the Usage column.
