System requirements validation for installing or upgrading Presentation Server

When you install or upgrade TrueSight Presentation Server, the installer validates if the system requirements for a large setup are met and only then allows you to proceed with the installation or upgrade. After the installation or upgrade, the system requirements are validated every time that you restart the product.

However, in a non-production environment, you can skip the validation of system requirements and install or upgrade the product. You can do this by running the installer with the -J MINIMAL=true parameter. For more information, see the installation Open link and upgrade Open link instructions.

Similarly, you can start the TrueSight Presentation Server service only when your system meets the system requirements. However, in a non-production environment, you can force the service to start by making some configuration changes. For more information, see Starting and stopping the TrueSight Operations Management components.
