The Cluster Queues object

The primary purpose of clusters is to increase availability and redundancy.

IBM WebSphere MQ Clusters may also reduce system administration overload and require fewer network configuration definitions than non-clustered installations.

The Cluster Queues Summary is displayed when you select Cluster Queues from the Navigation Panel.

Summary view operations available from the Operations drop-down menu are: Delete, Permissions, Audit, View Messages, Put Messages, Upload/Import, Copy Messages, Move Messages, Clear Queue, Tag Cluster Queue.

Note

Not all operations may be available on all cluster queues, for example, if the queue is not defined as local to the current connection context.

To access the selected queue's Properties Editor, click on the queue name in the Workspace. The cluster queues Properties Editor is a concise set of properties including several technical network/protocol definitions.
