Monitoring server status

You can monitor the status of the BMC Atrium Single Sign-On (SSO) server using the OpenAM's isAlive URL. Using this URL, you can verify the availability of a load balancer as well. This URL provides a simple message with the status of the server indicating whether the server is running or not. When you open this URL,  the page opens with the following message if the server is running: Server is ALIVE


If the server is not live and running, the page does not open and displays a Page not found error.

isAlive URL

The following is the isAlive URL format:



  • <host> is the fully qualified name of the host where the Atrium SSO server is running. The host can also be the load balancer FQDN.
  • <port> is the port that BMC Atrium SSO is using.
