Issuing commands in automation solutions
The commands that can be executed are MVS system commands, HSM commands, and SVOS commands. The option of coding a command as part of the solution allows you to take action against a resource or invoke another AUTO function. Thereby, one automation function can cause another automation function to be executed, depending on the result solution set. Commands coded as part of a solution can contain skeleton tailoring variables that will be replaced with values from the matching result records. The SET keywords for the commands (SVOSCMD, SYSCMD, and HSMCMD) are coded as part of a solution in the function RLST member. These keywords are not mutually exclusive; therefore, all of them can be coded in one solution.
The SVOSCMD, SYSCMD, and HSMCMD are also primary commands that can be entered in the command line of any MainView SRM view or menu. Issuing these commands from a view or menu displays a data entry dialog that allows you to enter a command manually and have the command executed on each system that is defined to your MVI CONTEXT.
