AUTOOVSM command

The AUTOOVSM command is used to initiate solutions against open VSAM data sets in selective active jobs.

AUTOOVSM processes the open VSAM data sets that are associated with the specified active jobs or masks. These data sets, or a subset of these data sets, compose the result group that is manipulated by the SET keywords of AUTOOVSM RLST. AUTOOVSM requests cause collection to occur for all data sets in the indicated active jobs. For a large number of jobs, this collection could be CPU- and time-intensive in some environments.

The following example shows how to use AUTOOVSM keywords:

Description

JOB=(jobName, jobName...)

|JOBNAME=(jobName, jobName...)

This keyword lists the active jobs or job masks to interrogate for open VSAM data sets.

SOL=(solution, solution...)

This keyword lists the FLST/RLST solution statements to apply to the open VSAM statistics. In the command parameters, the SOL keyword can include variables. Multiple variables can be used as long as they are separated by a comma.
