Accessing out-of-the-box views

A view is a metadata layer that defines relationships between tables and to identify fields to be accessed by the reports. Each view contains multiple folders, which contain fields that you can use to create reports.

You can access and edit the out-of-the-box views in TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse if you are one of the following users:

  • DWNetworkAdmin
  • Reporting user with the TrueSight Component Administrator role in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform

This topic provides the list of out-of-the-box views, and the instructions on accessing out-of-the-box views.

      Important

If a user with the name admin exists in TrueSight Network Automation, do not use this user to cross-launch to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform from the Network Automation - Data Warehouse console.

If you cross-launch with the admin user, permissions of the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator are replaced by the permissions of the Network Automation - Data Warehouse admin user. As a result, the TrueSight Smart Reporting – Platform administrator cannot perform the tasks associated with the role because the permissions are changed.

    3. Click LOG IN.

  2. In the left navigation bar, expand Browse > Views.

  3. Under By Folder, click All.
All the available views are displayed in the main pane in Thumbnails view.

  4. (optional) To see the views in a list, click Layout in the toolbar, and select List. The main pane displays a list of all the views.
