Getting started
You use the Installation System to install and maintain some BMC AMI products, BMC AMI Ops products, Cost Optimization products, most BMC products for the IBM Db2 environment, and most BMC products for the IBM IMS environment. After gathering information, the Installation System generates all of the jobs that you need to install your products.

Sorry. Confusing. I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND THE MANUAL.

Hello. Is there an error link page? : Obtain maintenance --------------> Task summary for applying maintenance and : Perform SMP/E maintenance --> Task summary for applying maintenance . . . . .?????? Same as the previous one !!! Isn't the link associated with the topic wrongly repeated? Thanks, Pedro.
Hi, Pedro. That's a very good question. I have forwarded it to the writer who is responsible for this content.
Hi, Pedro. As you note, both the Obtain maintenance and the Perform SMP/E maintenance steps refer to the same Task summary for applying maintenance topic because the information in this topic is relevant to both obtaining and performing maintenance.
Do I have to use this method to install BMC products? Is there a way to use smpe?
