Viewing account usage

View the number of events and data streams in your account and decide on obtaining additional subscription.

Click > Usage to view the account usage details


All user-generated and machine-generated events are billable, with the exception of abnormality, mvgd, ts.abnormality, ts.mv_abnormality, cluster.job event types, that are ignored and do not account towards your contract usage for the month. For example, change, incident, twitter.tweet, task, bug are user-generated events.

Billing consideration for historical data

The date of data ingestion is considered for billing purposes and will use a part of your contract usage for the month.

To filter the report by time frame

To view usage for the current month or preceding calendar month

Select Current Month or 1 Month for the Time frame to view the following information in individual bar charts:

  • User Generated Events - The number of the user-generated events, along with a legend. For example, change, incident, twitter.tweet, task, and bugs.
  • Machine Generated Events - The number of machine-generated events, along with a legend.
  • Data Streams ( < 1 min)  - The number of data streams which stream more than 60 data points in one minute.
  • Data Streams ( > = 1 min) - The number of data streams which stream 60 (or less) data points in a minute (or more).

To view usage for the last 6 months, a year, or your entire contract

Select 6 Months, 1 Year, or Entire Contract to view the Monthly distribution of events for the selected duration in a singe column chart.

From the Show Only drop-down list, select one of the following options:

  • User Generated Events - The number of the user-generated events, along with a legend. For example, change, incident, twitter.tweet, task, and bugs.
  • Machine Generated Events - The number of machine-generated events, along with a legend.
  • Data Streams ( < 1 min)  - The number of data streams which stream more than 60 data points in less than a minute.
  • Data Streams ( > = 1 min) - The number of data streams which stream 60 (or less) data points in a minute (or more).
