Configuring end-user experience settings

To send Ajax events to TrueSight Intelligence

Ajax events are always generated. Use this feature to send Ajax events to TrueSight Intelligence.

Licensing consideration

The number of Ajax events generated is usually very high, and these events contribute towards your licensed event count. Consider requesting for an increase in your licensed count.

  1. From the Settings menu, select End User Experience.
  2. Select an application.
    If you have not created an application, see Generating the JavaScript snippet and inserting it in your application.

  3. Select the General tab.
  4. From the Application Events section, select the Generate Ajax events toggle button if your application uses Ajax, and you want to also send the Ajax events to TrueSight Intelligence.

To set the level of details collected for JavaScript errors

Collect your application's JavaScript errors for analysis in TrueSight Intelligence.

  1. From the Settings menu, select End User Experience.
  2. Select an application.
    If you have not created an application, see Generating the JavaScript snippet and inserting it in your application.

  3. Select the General tab.
  4. From the JavaScript Error Collection section, select the option that corresponds to the level of errors you want to collect and view in TrueSight Intelligence.

    By default, the JavaScript Error Collection is set to Deep.

    • Off - Turn off JavaScript error collection
    • Partial - Collect the JavaScript error names and location
    • Deep - Collect the JavaScript error names, location, and the stack trace for each type of JavaScript error

Where to go from here

After you configure the application source rules you can configure data collection for custom fields. If you do not want to configure data collection for custom fields, use the system default views for analyzing end-user experience with your configured applications or analyzing JavaScript errors in your configured applications.
