Getting started with PATROL Installation Utility

Starting with PATROL Installation Utility 20.02.00, you can only use the TrueSight console to install a KM or PATROL Agent. The setup.exe file for Installation Utility 20.02 does not exist.

Installing or upgrading KMs or upgrading PATROL Agents

This topic provides information about the actions that you need to perform if you want to upgrade PATROL Agents and KMs by using PATROL Installation Utility 20.02.00. PATROL Installation Utility 20.02.00 is part of Repository 20.02. If you are not using Repository 20.02, you must import PATROL Installation Utility 20.02.00 in the TrueSight console.

1. (If you have not imported Repository 20.02) To import the Installation Utility, perform the following actions:
   1. Download the 20.02.00 version of the Installation Utility and the KMs or PATROL Agent that you want to upgrade. 
   2. In the TrueSight console, navigate to Administration > Repository > Installation Components.
   3. Click Import.
   4. On the Import a Repository or Solution window, select the Single Solution option.
   5. Browse for the downloaded file and click Import.
      The selected file is displayed in the File Selected box.

Installing a new PATROL Agent

This topic provides you information about the actions that you need to perform to install a new PATROL Agent or KM.

1. Download the latest repository from -  Download link .
2. In the TrueSight console, navigate to Administration > Repository > Installation Components.
3. Click Import.
4. On the Import a Repository or Solution window, select the Full Repository option.
   Note: The PATROL Installation Utility 20.02.00 is a part of Repository 20.02.
5. Browse for the downloaded file and click Import.
   
6. Create a fresh deployable package. For more information, see Creating deployable packages .
7. Download and install the deployable package manually. For more information, see Downloading and installing saved packages manually .
