System requirements

Before you install BMC HR Case Management, ensure that your environment meets the hardware and software requirements listed in the following sections:

Supported platforms and databases

You must install BMC HR Case Management only on  a server where BMC Remedy Action Request System Server is installed.

The BMC Remedy AR System Server can be installed on one of the following operating systems:

  • Windows 2008 x64 bit
  • Windows 2012
  • CentOS Linux 7 x64 bit and later versions
  • Red Hat Enerprise Linux 6.5 x64 bit and later versions

The following versions of databases are supported:

  • MS SQL 2008 Standard Edition 
  • MS SQL 2012 
  • Oracle 11 and later versions

  • Oracle 12 and later versions

Supported browsers

BMC Remedy Mid Tier is used for displaying the HR Case Management console. The following table lists the supported browsers:

Hardware sizing requirements

BMC determines an environment size based on the number of concurrent users logged in to an application. The following table explains how to determine the size of your environment.

1.   Disk sizes indicate the disk space that is consumed by the data and indexes. Always include additional space for additional data, OS, and other installed software.

Tip

 The BMC HR Case Management installation package requires approximately 300 MB of available space on a dedicated server where BMC Remedy AR System is installed.
