Roles and permissions

BMC HR Case Management is a Remedy application, and it uses BMC Remedy AR System server access permissions and encryption services. The following table lists BMC HR Case Management roles and permissions:

Standard Viewer

Standard Viewer uses BMC MyIT web console to submit  and view his HR requests.  This user does not have access to BMC HR Case Management console.

Standard User

Standard User is an HR agent working on cases or tasks from self-service users. This user has permissions to:

  • Work on the cases or tasks
  • Access reports
  • Access only to the assigned cases or tasks or to the corresponding groups.

Standard Administrator

Standard Administrator is the HR  agent having a set of administrative permissions. This user has permissions to:

  • Manage cases or tasks
  • Manage solutions
  • Manage people profiles
  • Configure system settings
  • Run reports
  • Access only to the assigned cases or tasks or to the corresponding groups.

Standard Master

In addition to all permissions of the Standard Administrator, the Standard Master user has the following permissions:

  • Can modify the Case Admin functions in a user profile: 
    • Change the user role 
    • Grant permissions to other users to access the roles configuration of the selected user
    • Add a user to the Confidential data group
  • Can create custom user roles
  • Has unrestricted access to all case records
  • Can delete transaction data.
