Solutions console features overview

HR agents with Standard Administrator or Standard Master role can access the Solutions console from the Quick Access bar.

From the Solutions console, you can perform the following actions:

  • Search for solutions
  • View summary of the details of a selected solution
  • Add notes to the selected solution, and send emails containing information attached a solution
  • Create new solutions, delete, modify, and clone available solutions.

You can access a Solution form by creating a new solution or modifying an existing solution. The solution that you are creating or modifying opens in a new tab. The Solutions console remains opened in the browser window.

Solution form

To modify a solution

  1. Open the Solutions console.
  2. Search for a solution that you want to modify, and select it.
  3. Click Modify or double click it.
  4. On the Solution Details tab, in the Main Details section, click next to the Status field.
  5. Select Draft, so that the Edit mode is enabled.
  6. Make the necessary changes, and click Save & Close.

To clone a solution

  1. Open the Solutions console.
  2. Search for a solution that you want to make copy of, and select it.
  3. Click Clone.

    A copy of the selected solution is created with the name "COPY: <cloned solution name>". By default, the cloned solution is in Draft status.

    Note

    The available tasks, questions, and journal entries are not copied to the cloned solutions. 

To delete a solution

  1. Open the Solutions console.
  2. Search for a solution that you want to delete, and select it.
  3. Click Delete.

  4. Click Yes to confirm deletion of the solution.
