Configuring the Queue Waiter task

The Queue Waiter task is used to wait processing of warehouse queues.

This task is used to postpone the execution of analyses, models or reports till the related resolution of data is available in the warehouse after a batch loading through ETL. The queue waiter can be stopped after the expiration of a specified timeout, even if attended requests haven’t been completely processed.

The following details must be entered for the Run configuration of the task:

To edit the configurations for the queue waiter task, navigate to Administration > ETL & SYSTEM TASKS > System tasks and in the working area on the right, click the appropriate name available in the System tasks table. In the Run configurations table, click Edit to access the following General configuration and Scheduling options tabs:

Field	Description
General configuration
Name	Type a name for the task.
Environment	Select if the task should be in the Test or Production environment.
Description	Type a description for the task.
Structure to wait for	Select the structure on which the task should wait - All, Domain, System, or Business Driver.
Components to wait for	Click Select components to wait to select the components to wait for: Raw: Wait processing of raw data from staging area (only for ETLs that populates raw data). Store: Wait processing of staged samples at detail resolution. Warehouse: Wait processing from detail resolution to hour resolution and computation of derived series. Reduce: Wait processing from hour resolution to  day/month resolution and computation of roll statistics. Custom statistics: Wait processing configured custom statistics. Variation: Wait processing of configuration series.
Scope	Select one of the following options to define a scope for the task: All: Wait till all queues of warehouse are processed. Domains: Wait till all series of systems and business drivers that belong to a specific domain are processed. ETL tasks: Wait till all series loaded by an ETL are processed.
Sleep Period	Enter a value after which the run configuration
Timeout	Enter a timeout for the task (in minutes).
Scheduling options
Hour mask	Select the time of the day when the task is scheduled to run.
Day of week mask	Select the days of the week to schedule the task.
Day of month mask	Select the days of the month to schedule the task.
Apply mask validation	Select if you want to mask the validation or not.
Execute after time	Specify the time period after which the scheduler task must be executed.
Enqueueable	Select if you want the task to be enqueued if other tasks are being executed.
