BMC Helix Continuous Optimization enables you to bookmark content that you use frequently or access easily for quick reference.

In the left navigation pane of the Workspace tab, click Bookmarks. The bookmarks are grouped as Private bookmarks and Public bookmarks. Private bookmarks are based on user login. Public bookmarks are visible to all users. A maximum of 10 bookmarks are displayed for each group, in a descending order of when they were accessed, with the most recently accessed bookmark listed on top.

 Creating a bookmark

You can bookmark content, such as analyses, models, views, domains, and domain pages.

  1. In the Workspace tab, navigate to the page that you want to bookmark.
  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Bookmark this page .
  3. In the Add a new bookmark dialog box, enter the following details:
    • Name: Enter a name or accept the default name, which is populated automatically based on the page you want to bookmark.
    • Folder: To restrict the access of the bookmark to the current user, select Private
    • Link: This field is automatically populated by the URL of the page for which you are are creating the bookmark.
    • Category: (Optional) Select a color to categorize the bookmark.
      Categories help to group similar bookmarks together and to sort them. For example, you can select the red category for all bookmarks that are related to saturation.
      If you do not select any category, the bookmark is created in the blue category, by default.
  4. Click Save.
  5. (Optional) Email the bookmark to other users to increase user collaboration.

    Your default email client opens with predefined text and a link to the page you bookmarked.
    You can share private bookmarks. Only the users you have shared the bookmark with, will have access to them.


    Ensure that your email client is configured to allow you to email the bookmark.

Grouping bookmarks

You can organize how bookmarks are displayed.

  1. In the left navigation pane of the Workspace tab, click Bookmarks.
  2. In the Bookmarks page, in the Group by list, choose one of the following options:
    • Folder: Bookmarks are sorted as Private bookmarks and Public bookmarks.
    • Category: Bookmarks are sorted by the color category you choose. The default is blue. You can also sort by a particular category, by clicking on a color in the color coded squares listed in the Category list at the top of the Bookmarks page.
    • Creation Date: Bookmarks are sorted by the order in which they were created: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and Older than 30 days. The most recently created bookmark is listed on top.
    • Last Access Date: Bookmarks are sorted by the order in which they were last accessed: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and Older than 30 days. The most recently accessed bookmark is listed on top.

Editing or deleting a bookmark

You can edit or delete only one bookmark at a time. 

In the Bookmarks page, click Edit Bookmarks.
The edit mode is enabled, and Edit  and Remove  icons are displayed for each bookmark.

To edit a bookmark

  1. Click Edit to edit the corresponding bookmark.
  2. In the Edit bookmark page, you can edit the Name, Folder, and Category of the bookmark.
  3. Click Save.


    If a Public bookmark was created by another user, you cannot set it as Private.

To delete a bookmark

Click Remove to delete the corresponding bookmark .

After editing or deleting bookmarks, click Disable Edit to close the Edit mode.
