WPARs page in the AIX WPAR view

The WPARs page in the AIX WPAR view provides an overview of all available WPARs in the AIX WPAR virtualization environment belonging to a selected host, including details about CPU frequency, model, and CPU and memory utilization.

To access the page, select Views > Virtualization > AIX Views > WPAR, and click the WPARs tab.


The WPARs table lists all WPARs in the selected host. Each row corresponds to a WPAR and shows the following information:





Name of the workload partition (WPAR).

Last valueNAME 


Name of the host that contains the WPAR. The host could either be a standalone AIX system, or a logical partition.

Last valueHost name retrieved using relationship VH_CONTAINS_GM  


Number of virtual CPUs configured for the WPAR.

Last valueCPU_NUM 

CPU Util [%]

CPU used by the WPAR, normalized by the number of virtual CPU configured for the partition

95th PercentileCPU_UTIL 

Memory Used [MB]

Memory used by the WPAR.

Network Rate [MBits/s]Network received/transmitted rate, measured in megabits per second.95th Percentile

WPAR details page

Click the name of the WPAR in the WPARs table to view the details page. The WPAR details page displays the following information:

  • General details of the host, such as name, type and tags
  • Related Information panel: ThresholdsThe thresholds page allows you to view and manage threshold settings for the selected Pool. See Configuring and managing thresholds for metrics and indicators for detailed information. 
  • Tags panel: Displays tags, if any, that are associated with the pool.  For more information, see Working with tag filters. 
  • Summary Information: The Summary tab, that is displayed by default, displays performance details for the WPAR in a horizontal summary table, as well as charts.
  • The Configuration Details tab displays the configuration metrics for the pool.
