23.2.02



Purge entities after 60 days of inactivity

Inactive entities in your infrastructure can affect license usage. To obtain the accurate license count, configure the automatic purging of entities for which no data is imported during the last 60 days. For details, see Global configuration.


Configure a custom Optimizer rule to notify alerts to specific business owners

Configure a custom Optimizer rule to automatically retrieve the recipient email addresses that are specified for the alerted entities in a data mart column or in a configuration metric. When the Optimizer rule conditions are satisfied, email notifications are sent to respective business owners of the alerted entities. For details, see Adding a custom Optimizer rule.


Restore entity relations defined by ETLs

Use the Restore relations option to restore entity relations that are defined by ETLs. Relations that were not defined in the last data import by ETLs will be removed. For details, see Working with ETLs


Collect logs from Remote ETL Engines

Use the log grabber to collect logs from the Remote ETL Engines in your environment. You can use these logs to troubleshoot capacity-specific issues in the on-premises infrastructure. For details, see Performing system maintenance tasks.


Out-of-the-box view for Hadoop 

Analyze and manage the capacity of Hadoop resources in your infrastructure by using the Hadoop view. Visualize the capacity usage of aggregated entities in a single view and drill down to specific areas as required. For details, see Hadoop views.

Migrate derived entities

Use the Migration toolkit to migrate manually derived entities from TrueSight Capacity Optimization. For details, see Key considerations for migration.


Filter data mart contents by using variables

In BMC Helix Dashboards, add custom filters by using variables to filter data mart content in a dashboard. For example, create a variable to filter a specific column in the table that displays data mart content. For details, see the Filter data mart contents by using variables section in Using BMC Helix Dashboards.

Analyze the capacity of the AIX infrastructure by using AIX views

Analyze and manage the capacity of the AIX infrastructure by using out-of-the-box capacity views. These views contain the key capacity metrics for AIX frames and partitions. For details, see AIX views.



Create derived entities

Create derived entities based on existing entities. Use these entities to represent calculated metric values from other systems. For example, a logical cluster that includes multiple nodes can be defined as a derived entity. For details, see Creating and viewing entities.




Get insights into the overall health and status of business services by using the Service Risk Dashboard

Use the out-of-the-box Service Risk Dashboard to visualize the business service performance based on the correlation between business drivers and resources of a pool. Service owners can use this information to get insights into the overall health and status of business services

Configure the default time zone

Configure the default time zone to be used when showing data series in every chart of BMC Helix Continuous Optimization, such as charts in analyses, models, and views. For details, see Global configuration.
