Adding and managing view groups

Capacity views are categorized based on different technologies into groups called View Groups. As an Administrator, you can create view groups in the Views tab.  Use the View groups tab of the Capacity views page to create and manage the view groups. The View groups table lists all view groups currently configured on your system and also shows the parent view groups they fall under. You can also add custom view groups from this page.

To access the View groups page, in the Views tab navigation pane, select  Manage Views  and click the View groups tab.

An example of the View groups page

The table contains the following columns:

  • View group: Name of the view group.
  • Parent view group: Name of the parent view group.
  • Package: Name of the package that the view group is part of. For example: Custom, Core.
  • Creation date: The date on which the view group was created.

Child view groups inherit the package and access groups that are specified for the parent view group.
