This task describes how to monitor and view the configuration information of WPARs.

To View the Configuration Details of a WPAR

  1. Access the WPAR application class so that you can view its parameters.
  2. Open the following text parameters that track information about the WPAR configuration:

Parameter

Description

WPARType

Displays whether the type of WPAR is a System WPAR or an Application WPAR

WPARResourceSet

Displays the summary of all resource controls assigned to a WPAR The summary displays details about CPU and memory shares and limits allotted to a workload partition, number of processes and threads in a workload partition, virtual memory that a single process within a workload partition can consume, number of shared memory and semaphore IDs and message queues, and so on.

BMC PATROL displays a graph that shows the requested information over time.
