Guidelines

Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

COMPUTERS Application Menus


The ALL COMPUTERS application menus contain the following menu commands. Some commands are only available under the ALL_COMPUTERS > Global commands selection.Others are not available on all the menus for specific choices under the ALL_COMPUTERS > Local > specific type of computer selections. The following table indicates the functions and availability of the menu commands.

Menu Command

Description

Opens an xterm window for logging into a remote host or performing other system functions

Displays a dialog box prompting you for an operating system command and executes the specified command. The output is displayed in the Console window. Available only under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Displays a dialog box prompting you for an operating system command and executes the specified command. A task icon appears. Available only under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Displays a dialog box prompting you for a PSL command and executes the specified command. The output is displayed in the Console window. Available only under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Displays a dialog box prompting you for a PSL command and executes the specified command. A task icon appears. Available only under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Allows you to run PATROL, process, and file system utilities

Forces an update of the application parameter values. Available only under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Displays a menu item to save your current selection of KMs so that it will automatically load the next time you start the PATROL Agent. Available only under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Allows you to access platform-specific tools. Not available under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Start SNMP Agent

Starts the SNMP Master Agent on UNIX platforms only. Not available under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands

Configure Recovery Actions

Allows you to access and edit registered recovery actions. Not available under ALL_COMPUTERS > Global > Commands
